- What do I need to bring with my laptop?
- Digital Crisis requires that you bring your AC Adapter at the bare minimum. If you have any software you would like installed, please include them on your visit. On some rare cases, if Digital Crisis requires additional software for your machine, one of our technicians will call you. If you are experiencing problems with any additional hardware (except routers and modems), please bring these items as well.
- What do I need to bring with my desktop?
- Digital Crisis only requires the desktop itself. We do not need power cables, monitors, video cables, mice or keyboards. On some rare cases, if Digital Crisis requires additional software or hardware for your machine, one of our technicians will call you. If you are experiencing problems with any additional hardware (except routers and modems), please bring these items as well.
- How long do you warranty your work?
- Digital Crisis offers a 30 day warranty. Warranty Services only applies to work performed. Digital Crisis does not warranty any Virus, Spyware, Adware, Malware, Root-kits or any type of infection removal if a customer elects to try the removal process instead of a complete reload. If you have any additional questions regarding warranty labor, please give us a call.
- Do you service Apple products?
- YES! Where most companies lack the knowledge and tools to be able to properly service Apple products, Digital Crisis has technicians that have been working on Apple products for years. If you need hardware or software upgrades, Logic Board replacements, LCD replacements or installation of alternative Operating systems, then look no further. We offer extremely competitive pricing against the Genius Bar and offer just as must knowledge.
- Will you ever do unauthorized work?
- Digital Crisis will never work on anything that is not authorized by the customer. If we cannot get in contact with you, we will place the machine back on our shelf and wait for your response. Digital Crisis will only do the work that you allow.
- What is your typical turn-around time?
- Digital Crisis strives for a quick return time for all machines that come into our shop. Typically, we can service all machines within 1-3 Business days. There are however, special cases where this is not feasible. If you need specialized hardware of software, we will offer you flexible solutions to get your machine back as quickly as possible. Digital Crisis will always inform you if your machine will be not fixed within our usual timeframe. If you need your computer worked on as soon as it is brought in, we offer an Emergency Rate. Please ask us about this if you are interested.
- What days are you open?
- Digital Crisis is open Monday – Saturday from 9:00AM-6:00PM. We also offer after hours services at additional costs if you or your company is in need of emergency services.
- Are you hiring?
- Digital Crisis is always interested in additional staff. If you feel you are qualified and would like to schedule an interview, please come to our location and setup an appointment with our manager.
- Do you repair gaming consoles?
- Unfortunately, due to price and demand, Digital Crisis does not repair gaming consoles. If you are having any problems with your consoles, Digital Crisis recommends contacting Microsoft, Nintendo or Sony and using their replacement plans. All other vendors, local and online, will void your warranty and can lead to further damage.
- Are walk-ins welcome?
- Yes. If you have found us through any of our advertisements, brochures or through online search engines, do not hesitate and come over and visit us.
- Why is there a “Digital Crisis” folder on my desktop?
- Every machine that is brought to Digital Crisis is given a few free programs that we find enhance most customers’ experience with their own machines. These programs add valuable protection, stability and enhancements that our own staff uses personally. We hope you enjoy these programs, and if you have any questions, please give us a call.
- Do you offer any special promotions?
- Digital Crisis offers promotions through our online and local advertising. If you follow us via http://www.twitter.com/digitalcrisis we offer from time to time discounts on services. Always keep a look out, because they are unannounced.
- Do you sell customer details?
- Digital Crisis does not sell customer detail. When checking in a computer with us, we will ask for personal information, including your e-mail address. Many people have multiple computers or multiple ways of accessing their e-mail, and when we cannot contact you through the usual methods, we will try to contact you online. If you are not comfortable with giving us your e-mail address, you are not obligated in any way to disclose it.
- Why are some services not offered via on-site?
- While Digital Crisis wishes we could perform all of our services on-site, there are simply many services that require proprietary methods of repair or additional time to service. Many times by bringing your machine to our location, you are saving yourself money. Our In-Shop technicians are able to work on multiple computers at a time, and this brings down the cost. In some cases, we will offer on-site services, but please understand the cost to you will increase.
- How long will you hold my computer for me?
- After completion of required work, a Digital Crisis technician will inform you that your machine is ready to be picked up. From time of completion, we hold your computer for 30 days. If you have not picked up your machine by this time, we will consider it abandoned.
- Do you offer payment plans?
- In a special case by case basis, Digital Crisis may offer payment plans, but currently we do not offer any options. Full payment is due upon pickup of machine.
- My computer is asking to purchase software.
- If your computer has recently asked for you to purchase software you have not installed, then chances are your computer has become infected. Digital Crisis recommends you bringing in your machine to our shop for Virus/Spyware/Adware removal.
- I need to cancel my appointment.
- If for any reason, you no longer need our services or your current appointment cannot take place, please call us at least one business day before the appointment. If a technician arrives to your location and we have not been informed, there is a possibility that you will be charged a minimum fee.
- After repairs from your company, my mouse and keyboard are not functioning.
- In very rare cases, legacy mice and keyboards will no longer work after performing a re-installation of the machines Operating System. If this has occurred, Digital Crisis apologizes and asks that you bring your machine back with your mice and keyboard so that we can re-install them. To repeat, this is an extremely rare occurrence.
- I would like to pick up my machine before its completion.
- If for any reason, you would like to pick up your machine before we have begun any work, you are more than welcome to at no cost. If a technician is currently working on the computer and you would like to pick it up, you can, however payment is required for all previous labor performed. Additionally, the machine will be “as is” with no warranty.
